Privacy Policy

At CFO Solutions, we are very concerned about your privacy.

We work with highly confidential financial records and understand the importance of maintaining security with your information.

Regarding our website; we do not collect, post, or manage any private data on this site. If you use our Contact Us form to submit a request for contact, we maintain your contact information for our customer service effort only, and will not sell or share this information with any outside entity. We may from time to time pass your contact information along to a trusted colleague where appropriate, and we may also share your contact information with members of our staff or our supporting affiliates such as a webmaster. When you are browsing our site or blog, you are doing so anonymously; we do not track or collect personal information on our website without your knowledge.

With regard to our handling of your private financial records, we maintain a strict privacy and confidentiality policy. Below are a few of the key points of our commitment to your privacy in all that we do:

Networks
We maintain systems on both wired and wireless networks. Anyone on our staff who is working on a wireless network is required to have encryption security turned on in their wireless router settings. This means a password is required to join the network, and information is encrypted as it is transported through the ‘air’. This measure helps assure that, in the unlikely event that someone were to receive an unauthorized wireless signal from our system, the information being transported is encrypted to the highest standards.

Logging Out
Our employees are required to log out of their computers whenever they walk away from them, and to close any open windows to applications showing financial data when they are not at their desk. This assures that passers-by are not able to see or access financial data while we are away.

Remote Working
We often work on your computers from a remote location. When doing this, we request that our customers secure the machine that we are working on, and that they turn the monitor off while they are away from the computer to ensure that others are not watching while we are working on the remote desktop. Computers to which we have access should be located in a secure area, monitored by a trusted member of your staff, and blocked or hidden from view including windows and hallways. Please note that we do not have any ability to determine if anyone is watching a computer that we are working on remotely. It is the responsibility of you, our client, to secure the machines to which you have granted us access.

Confidentiality
The confidentiality of your financial information is our greatest concern. Our customers trust that we are not only the best financial advisors, but that we uphold and maintain the confidentiality of their financial information. To fortify such a high degree of trust, we maintain a strict policy against discussing our clients’ financial information with any outside party who does not have a need to know or that you have not approved.

Working With Files
As we work with financial records, most of what we do is contained in computer files that are at times transferred or backed up for safe keeping. Transfer of files is kept to an absolute minimum, and is done in the most secure method available. Database and backup files are stored under lock and key.

Portability
Because our team works with you at remote locations, we work on portable laptops. We understand that hardware theft and subsequent access to data is a concern and we work to avoid this hazard. We maintain a policy that all machines have a complex login password for access to the file system, and we uphold a practice of never leaving our equipment unattended, even in the most trusted environments.
